I think it would be pointless to lift a 2wd. Too expensive and too much wear with no gain. It'll definitely make it harder to load a dirtbike. Just get 2" drop shackles for the rear and it will be level. If you need more traction, get some all-terrains. You could trade the truck in with the money you would spend and get a nice 4wd.

Why do it?

Im about to level out my ram with a 2'' coil spacer kit myself. Then i was thnking about when i tow/haul. The rear would be lower than the front then. So i was thinking of a 3'' block or somthing in the rear. Note: My ram is 2wd. So i would not be stacking blocks. The 4wd rams (correct me if im wrong) already have blocks in the rear anyway so it should be Safe/ok to do with just a 3 inch blocked rear on a 2wd(right?).

Does that sound like it would work ok and look ok? And what about shocks? Would i need to change my shocks out on the rear for this? All my shocks are basically brand new all the way around (gas magnums) So i wouldnt really wanna do away with em if i didnt have to.

Sorry for the hijack. But some of this info might help others too and the OP.

bunch of places make a 2wd lift, problem is you'll probably spend more on the lift then you did the truck. if you want it to look real good search for a nice prerunner lift. a good place to call would be 4wheelparts, if the austin you said your from is texas theres one of theyre shops near you. or just check out 4wheelparts.com

dakotas ram ....i just shake off those haters.....

Yes sir I am in central Texas...when it snows no one is able to drive. Yes we do have a 4 wheelparts. pass it quite often taking my son to school. I am going to check them out, gnarkill...good looking out

Yeah i could just sell or trade the truck...but the price that i paid plus the idea of NO CAR NOTE ....is a win win in my book .if i spend a 1500 to lift it to include wheels and tires . thats awesome compared to a 40 grand tuck note . So to answer the nah sayers questions there it is ....plus i wanted to do something a little diffrent....plus y haul around all that 4x weight when im rarely gonna use it. my brother has a 4x4 dodge cummings..i would just use his,if needed.

hey dodge power... I think that would be a nice lift....im in the same boat as you....4x2 but i wanted a 4 inch lift all the way around, and 33`s...thought i wld stay wth 33`s so i wont have to regear the rear...figured if i ran 35 gearing we need to take place
