Default Rebuilt transfer case leaking at Tranny

Just had the transfer case rebuilt and now it wont stop leaking at the transmission, it leaks when it just sitting there. the transfer case has the adapter plate for the 7" skyjacker lift, the tranny was just rebuilt 7k miles ago or so could the seal in the transmission have gone bad that fast?

Sounds like either the transmission output shaft seal or the transfer case input shaft seal.

Look at the fourth picture down and you will see a groove that goes across the bottom bolt hole, that is for drainage and if the transmission output shaft seal were leaking then it would leak right there. I have the seal puller on he transmission output shaft seal in that picture.

Yeah i pulled the transfer case again, it seems to be coming from the seal in the tranny, theres wasnt and fluid on the transfer case when i had it out. i replaced that seal in the tranny, crossing fingers it stops leaking.

It ought to quit leaking as long as the transfer case is flush against the transmission and tightened down all the way.

well its still leaking, brand new seal, good seal on the Xfer case to the tranny, no clue just gonna see if it stops at this point. its only leaking when it just sits there, thinking as long as the tranny doesnt get low ill just let it leak till it stops. parked the truck the other way around in the driveway so the rear end is point up hill i bet the will stop it. but still it doesnt make sense why it just leaks now >_<

Did you start to drive the new seal in then pull it back out and put it back in again? If you managed to rub some of the paint off the edge of the seal then that will make it leak.
If your seal driver managed to bend the metal on the new seal then it could leak.
Did you slide the new seal on the input shaft on the transfer case to make sure it was the right size?

i used some thread lock on it but some of the green paint scraped off as it went in tho, i tapped it in with a rubber mallet so it didnt bend at all. same exact size as the one that was in it.
is the fluid level normaly at the bottom of that seal in the tranny or is that to much? its been leaking but not showing any lower when i check it warmed up in neutral.

There are two seals, you only replaced the one?
