Engine runs rough, dealer has no idea why
On my receipt from Oreilly's it does say I have a universal O2, do you think that is my problem? THey just used two universal O2's, the dealer list seprate parts for my vehicle...
Yes, that is the problem. You cannot use a universal O2 sensor. Not even sure what the heck you'd use a 'universal' one on anyway. Your computer is getting wacky signals and is trippin.
I've been around some. Been tryin to throw my 2 cents in when I can. I had some travel for work, still working on my kitchen remodel (taking up most of my time), and just bought a Scout II for my next project. So, just been a bit busy lately. Although, it seems like there's a lot more OBDII guys on here now having issues. Must be the age setting in or something. I think us OBDI guys have already replaced everything on our trucks. lol

Ok this is THE LAST POST I will make about this truck.. I have thus far replaced
-Catalytic Converter
-Both O2 Sensors
-Muffler
-Ignition Coil
-Fuel Pump
-Distributer changed 3,000 miles ago
-Transmision Changed 3,000 miles ago
Now there are no check engine lights, I just have a problem when I come up to a stoplight, this problem is driving me crazy.... The truck runs like a dream, then when its warm randomly at a stop light it will start running really rough... LIke it wants to die, and I hear what sounds like air compression behind the steering wheel, I can put it in Nuteral and give it gas and the problem wants to go away, or if I just pull away from the stoplight the car will give a few small backfires and catch right up with itself.... Any suggestions on this problem would be greatly appriciated.. thanks again!

IAC! that's what I was trying to remember. Thanks for the reminder.
I agree though, check it out. If its not opening when the throttle valve is closed, then your truck will stall.
