Had Ram 2 days, here is what I am noticing!
Idles well, at exhaust pipe seems to have a bit of exhaust leak. The only thing on the truck that worries me is this.
Say your creeping through a parking lot. It jumps or jerks, hit the brake runs perfect, so it isn't idling. It has to be something in the throttle or the tranny. Get on it it goes away, and runs great till you hit od, then does the jerking but seems to smooth out the faster you go. Tranny sounds real loud before hitting each gear also. But seems to go through them as it should, maybe hits high a little early.

Checked it and smelled it. Looked super clean and had no smell, but guy might have changed it right before he sold it. I plan on changing the filter and fluid, what should I look for while in there. I heard something about two solenoids that are easy to reach and replace??
My tranny was doing that on overdrive. On mine, its either the pump or torque converter. If I were you, I would have a mechanic run a scan tool on the truck to check the status of the OD and TCC solenoids....or it could be the pump or torque converter. Start with the solenoids.
As far as the engine goes, it could also be the throttle position sensor. They're only about $30 if you want to give that a try.
Do you have a check engine light on?

My guess is code 1740?
What year is your truck? You may be able to get the truck to read you the code by switching the ignition on and off (without starting) 3 times. It will give you a number code in the digital odometer.
