HOLY GAS! BatMan! 264 Miles on full tank of gas!
+1 im sick of seeing reposts after reposts and subjects that are beaten to death
and get some answers, but I'm new to the forum and to these trucks, opinions change over time, people make mods, many factors come to mind when it comes to MPG. This was my first trip in this truck. I really wasn't even sure the fuel gauge was accurate, the truck does have 234k on it and the guage was on the last mark before red, who was to say my light even worked or was hooked up. I don't go into **** details like the above on a general post because there is no reason. To me. I had used a full tank at 264. I don't rely on dummy lights. I rely on guages. So to say this post is useless is a waste of your efforts to even type the words. I had an 07 supercrew ford with a 5.4triton that would get 400 miles on a tank of gas. I didn't know of these were comparable or not. But as my mommy would say, if you don't have anything nice to say don't freakin say it at all cowboy!
Done a few fillups on this thing since I started driving her last week.
Initial fill, went about 194 miles and it was under a half. Filled it Sunday night, then last night it was under half again, I put 74 miles on it with 16 gallons of the good stuff :/
Been and will keep tracking it with this. Going to figure out my cold starting problem and it should do much better, not putting raw fule down the exhaust.

i dont want to hear it from any of you... im pretty sure i get the worst here.... lol, and iwhitne, your right, redundant threads are very old, thats why if you noticed i was gone for a while, and the fact ive been busy, but i was hoping someone here would ask something bold... not just about som MPG's or if 33's will fit....
and blbikerood, are your seriously trying to compare the supercrew to our dodges... put it on some big tires, put it in the mud, ill run circles around you... let me put my 40" STS's on, ill kill you on the drag strip.... dont get me started on fords.... so dont say i was woundering if the supercrew was comperable to the dodge, you should have known what kind of differance it is, just driving the 10 miles a day... lets see, 260ish miles to a tank, thats what, 26 times you go back and forth and your empty, now you get in the ford, and you get around 400 miles per tank, so you are able to go about 40 days before you go low... dont make no sence to me...

you guys must either love that skinny petal or have some parts hangin up, i run bad gears and tire mix... 37's and 4:10s and i get about 13 around town and 16-17 highway ( which is why i have the 4:10s) but still 13 around town is not bad for 37's... so for you guys to be getting 10- below town, you got somethin wrong...
the gauges mean nothing to mpg.. it's about CONSISTANTLY filling the tank with the SAME AMOUNT of fuel and recording your mileage... you can fill it up and check your mileage when the needle is on half... it won't be anywhere close to what you are getting.
if you drive until the light comes one... and fill up.. you consistently be filling about the same amount.. 21-23 gallons...

the only sure way to know is to fill your tank, sset the trip... and drive till you stall out... which i belive if im thinking rightm, is 26 or 27 gallons with the reserve ( could be wrong) and see what milage you got out of it...
but then you are stuck on the side of the road with just a knowledge of how many miles you get out of a tank of gas...
