Lot of times you will find stock heads have cracked between the valve seats, best to magnaflux them first to make sure they're good. Small gain can be had. If you have mp porting templates & do it yourself (time to kill) could sort of be worth it. Polishing is just window dressing btw. Expect to go through a couple bits, need a good compressor & it can take 20hrs or more to do. Buddy did his heads & his Dak dropped almost .3 in the 1/4m, wont gain that much with a Ram. He mentioned picking bits of steel out of his arms for a while after lol.

PURP, If you want to save a little time, why don't you just take pics that a mod can insert into the existing DIY in the appropriate locations. Then you can move on to your next modification. I'm actually doing mine sometime this week, and was contemplating doing just that. I'm kind of wobbly taking picks right now though! LOL

What else is there to do right? LOL I'm doing the swap this week, already got the plate off old truck. If I can do that, I guess I could snap some pics too. But looks like PURP wants to do a complete DIY , so I'll let him decide.
