Default Sawzall or Cutting wheel?

I am planning on putting a dual exhaust on my stock 5.9L. Do you guys suggest getting a sawzall to cut the pipe or a cutting wheel? (I will also be replacing a bent tip on my wife's Jeep, so this will get multiple uses.)

Sawzaw with a short blade, grinders are great for cutting in open area's but trust me you dont want to run a chance of dropping it while your under there. Iv got a scar across my shoulder where i lost my grip and droped it while it was on.. and yea...

A sawzall will make much straighter cuts also.

Another vote on the Sawzall. I used a grinder and it melted through the exhaust rather than actually making a clean cut.

I just used my sawzall a couple weeks ago to hack up mine. It takes 5-10 seconds to chop a 2.5" exhaust pipe off.

[QUOTE=yakkier;2023142]Sawzaw with a short blade, QUOTE]

mmmm i go for sawzall with a longer blade(for cutting metal) lager than the size of the pipe so it doesn't buck on you when cuttting

6" blade works. If the blade is too long then you might punch the bottom of the body.

SAWZALL:

The reason i don't have my sidepipe exhaust from the truck in my sig is because I cheapied out and bought a cutting wheel the day before I moved. It could not budger through a heavy duty aftermarket exhaust.

Get a sawzall. It is necessary. unless you know someone who is an electrician, blumber, carpenter or in the contracting business.

I used my cousin's sawzall to cut my exhaust system and it worked like a charm. Cutting wheel might fall out of your hands.
