Hi,

I will pull the pan off and drop the tranny. Is there a way to tell if the TC is shot once i get it out?

Thanks again,

The other makes, are the same way. Mine failed at 368k. Never an issue, it just stopped one morning.

Mine did the exact same thing when I bought it. The guy thought the transmission was blown and it wouldn't do anything except for a whine similar to a p/s whine. When I dropped the pan the fluid was just a goey gel. But, I changed the fluid it's still running 1 1/2 years later!

that is interesting, I will pull the pan and check it out. I don't know if the fluid has been changed or not but if it is all goey like you say i will change it and see what happens.

Thanks,

Kody

I just went through this last weekend. I didn't know anything about the sensors until finally my check engine light came on....not sure why my tranny acted up for so long without a trouble code coming up. For me, I got two codes...output speed sensor and governor pressure switch. At first I just did the output speed sensor...got overdrive back, but then had problems with 2nd and 3rd. Saturday I dropped the pan and replaced the governor sensor and solenoid....My tranny is back to tip top shape. Thank God it wasn't anything more than that!!!!
