Well I went to see it today. It looks pretty decent, but the body is a little rough (16 yr old truck, go figure). Plenty of scratches and dings, pretty horrible "patch" job on the hood, and a rusted out cab corner (not all the way through yet, but underneath I bet it is), a bit on the bottom of one door, and above one rear fender.

It runs excellent. Definitely better than anything else I've test drove, including my other truck.

All it needs is one e-brake cable, the rust fixed, and the cruise control fixed. Mostly little things.

I offered $3100 cash. He said he'd consider and get back to me by Sunday.

He says he has paper work, including a warranty for the engine (20k i think?), for everything except the rear end rebuild. But it definitely was brand new. It ran like a whole new truck.

Not sure if he'll take my offer or not. I guess we'll see.
