i bought four 2 inch wheel spacers for my 1998 4x4 1500, it looks 2 me like the drivers side sticks out further than the passenger side. any one know anything about this??

 

If it was off before you added the spacers, you might have a bad trac bar

 

Do the world a favor and remove them before someone gets killed.

 

wheel studs where never designed to have spacers on them... i agree with zman and please remove them, you will break studs....

if you take them off and the wheels are still off, its yoru trac bar...

 

whatever do u mean, that someone could get killed. its not like im drag racing. are they really that dangerous?? if its the track bar isnt that only going 2 affect the front end?? the drivers side rear and front stick out further than the passanger side rear and front. i only drive about ten miles a day, my work is 2 miles from home. i live in idaho so i do no freeway driving like u guys might

I have never heard of an accident thats been related to wheel spacers. I'm sure it's happened, no doubt. But it's not anywhere near as common for the spacers to break as wrecking the vehicle in general. It's like skydiving. People say it's stupid, it's dumb, it's dangerous, and you'll likely be killed. That's not at all true. In fact, it has a very low death rate compared to other sports. Same thing with spacers. There is a potential danger factor, but it's not as dangerous as you think. If a hub can't handle wheel spacers, then it should'nt be able to handle offset wheels or one's with different backspacing.
