blown head gasket. Wow, that means the truck runs hot. Knowing that, i would not pay more than 2500 for that truck. Fix it and never mention it to anyone.

reason it ran hot is due to a loose fitting on a radiator hose, i gave it some gas and the hose blew off and caused it to build up some heat. everything has been fixed and seemed good except now the head gasket is now blown

Just put it up on craigslist or ebay and see what happens.

If it looks good someone will call...

Just start around $7200, unless you're willing to try $6 - you never know.

That is your story, and although true...I would never 100% believe someone when they tell me "Everything is fixed."

Just so you are prepared when no one offers more than maybe 4K for the truck. Its not like you are a dealership that has a customer service department if something goes wrong 3 miles down the road. They care about referrals and repeat business....a third party does not.

I know because I tried to sell a 1986 camaro with a crate engine and it had a blown rearend and a blown main seal. Got 2K for it and the cost of the car and my investments was 11K. It had trick flow heads, Comp pro magnum 1.6 roller rockers, custom hardnend pro comp pushrods, edelbrock headers, flowmaster catback, new seats from a 1996 camaro, new capet, GR2 shocks and struts, Scorpion exhaust, 650CFM street avenger carb, Comp xtreme energy camshaft, timing gears, MSD distributor and 6AL, aliminum cragar rims, new door panels...ONLY 2K. Maybe 4500 if it ran well.

I gotta say, most of that stuff (rebuilt trans, fixed plenum) are what are referred to as sunk costs. Maintenance type costs. They don't add value necessarily, just fix existing problems. The lift would detract from the price for me, because I don't want a lift/i'm old/what have you. I'd pay more for one that is bone stock that yer ol granpappy drove than I would for one modified. Hope you get a wad of cash for it, but I'd say 6k-ish.
