Default how much do you think i would be able to sell my truck for

So due to a new lake place im thinking of selling my 1999 dodge ram so i got more money for jet skis or boat.

I know i will never get what i have into it but it would be cash in the bank...

kbb has a bone stock style for a private party for 6000

but as some of you know mines not stock heres what its got.

suspension
5 inch lift (all the fixin for steering and all)
35 inch tires with 20 in incubus rims

body
in great shape has normal dodge rust but very little
chrome all around

motor/trans
Brand new rebuild trans with like 3000 miles on it
1.7 RR's
Hughes Fi airgap intake manifold
Fastmans TB
flowmaster exhaust

from the stuff i have posted I got at a minimum of at $8000 dollars in aftermarket stuff on the truck and has all been put on in the last year.

SO what would you ask for it?

8000 in aftermarket stuff, you're gonna get raped harder then andy did in the shawshank redemption.I'd keep it and sell the 2008,you might lose less money that way.

i know i will get raped thats why i still have the truck

But if i have 8 into it i think i could ask 7000 or 8000

Thats 8000 dollars more in the bank and less thing in the dang driveway.

the 08 is brand new so i wouldnt gain any money in bank since i have only paid one month on it.

I would not pay 8000 for your truck and I have not seen it. blue book TRADE IN value for excellent condition is what I would shoot for.

I never buy cars for BBV. Only trade in value from the BLACK BOOK. SO you are looking at about 4K for your truck.

I paid 10K for my truck a year ago:

BONE STOCK BLUE BOOK PRICE: 14,600
PAID: 10,000

40K sticker price
42K miles
California concepts graphics package (chrome brushguard and rails and lift)
transferable warranty to 99,998K or may 2012

Look at pics:

prolly $7,000 private sale... maybe... I went totrade mine in on an 03 2500 cummins they asked how much I was trying to get out of it.. and I said $7,500... they said we'll give you $3,000 trade in... I have 98 1500 4x4.. 1.7's, fastman, superchips,flowmaster,33's,heavy duty group, power everything.. I told them I'd keep it... I'm doing a study right now to see if it is actually cheaper to maintain my truck vs. buying a new one... If my maintenance costs are less than $300 a month.. then it's cheaper to maintain.. I'm keeping track of my costs based on a 12 month average.. right now I average about $100 a month... once I reach the $300 a month maintenance cost.. it's time for a new truck

Also if you have your reciepts keep them to show a potential buyer that everything has been done like you said( it will help the sale IMO), you might get a buyer in your range, all depends if he/she has seen this forum and will talk you down with all the well known problems with em

im not saying your truck isnt worth 8K, but the way things now adays it would be hard to get someone to buy at that price. i would say ask 7K, and take no less than 6500

see one thing good about where i live is that no one really has lost jobs or went under because of the economy. so potential buyers are out there.

Just looked at a 1998 ram 1500 same as mine but no extras and 115,000 on it and they are asking 6 for it, so ill try 7 and see what anyone comes up with.

Probably going to post on craigslist and see if there is anyone interested in the truck with blown head gasket if not ill fix it and then try again
