Transmission won't shift.
yeah, but he seems a little cranky.... 
i'm no trans expert either, and we don't have one since MonteC wandered off. but - the 01 does have a speed sensor in the tail housing, but it likely only controls the TC lock and OD shift. i think the 1-2 and 2-3 are pressure controlled.
the throttle valve cable (TV) has some control over shifting, but unless it suddenly broke, i wouldn't think it would go out so suddenly as you describe. there's a lot of posts on the TV cable.
you're probably just another unlucky victim of dodge transmissions.

I also have the same exact problem! except i have a 2001 ram 2500 4x4. I have recently had the spark plugs changed and a new intake manifold.. ever since then my truck has been having the same exact problems as yours.. did you find any solutions?
