I have a 99 ram 1500 360 4x4 with 120,000 miles and it just started to get the infamous fender rot, i live in western PA so it does see winter and salt so there is no shame in it just starting now. Im thinking of getting it repainted. I have a good friend who restores classic cars for spare cash and he offered to paint it for me for Materials and beer. im thinking of going two-tone. Any suggestions on color, its white if the picture doesnt appear. I was thinking silver or blue with a metal flake in it.

 

the picture was taken the day i bought it, so there isnt any rust in that picture. Also i plan on removing the body kit, running boards before it gets painted. The fender flares are what made it rust out in the first place

whats the color called on the Daytona? Burnt Orange?

 

i like that orange, i wanted to keep it all white, but my buddy said white is almost impossible to match perfectly especially in an 11 year old truck so he recommended 2 tone instead.

 

I don't get it, if he is repainting the whole truck what would he need to match?
