PurplDodge's Spring Project
No, we do not have a mowing business. Although I do make some money in the summer mowing grass for my grandparents.
That eXmark was a friend's that we had to barrow.

Awesome! I do the same thing, I have 15 yards I do by myself, and I have 2 ex-marks. Great mowers, indestructible. I'd love to have a dixie chopper but they don't mulch.
Not that I haven't taken mine off or anything. For some reason I think you were there that day
I think I missed the AC brakets and alternator part (can't remember anyway). But yeah I was there for when the manifold came off. Plus he is doing the timing chain which I didn't get to see on yours. Other than that... I think I got the rest down.
Nate, post detailed Timing chain specs if you could....im tackling mine soon
good luck, and BTW instead of seafoam, go to a local machine shop and have thm clean the manifold....only cost me $40 bucks to have my manifold look brand new.

My dad and I are looking to get a garden tractor like a John Deere 300 series to mow and push snow in the winter with.
I myself mow 3 yards and my grandparents' apartment complex. It takes me about 6 hours on their beat up Ariens tractor (See my vehicle in upper right), but I still love doing it. I had to come into the rescue two years ago, because they do not take care of their mowers at all. I also use a Toro Super Recycler self propelled mower that really is a great mower. I have an almost new front wheel drive Craftsman push. Hard as hell to keep in a straight line. I make pretty good money for a 15 year old in the summer.

I'm gonna scrub the manifold down in my uncle's parts washer. I'm kinda strapped on cash right now (Curse you Harland Sharp!). And I havent even bought everything yet! I still need to get a water pump, oil, oil filter (Yeah, NAPA 40% off!), and distributor cap and rotor.
Well, with that out of the way, I got the intake manifold off last night!!!
. But it was the first intake manifold bolt on the left, and there is still plenty of the stud left(I only broke the head off) where I can get a pair of Vise grips on it an try to thread it out. I shot some PB blaster on it last night to soak in. I also ripped both of the heater hoses and put holes in them when I pulled them off. Thats another thing I gotta get. Tonight I'm gonna do the timing chain.

i broke a bolt when doing my buddies, if you ahve a torch to something and apply some heat to it it should come right out with vice grips otherwise it is a real PITA! we tried for two days with pb blaster and vice grips, applied some heat and came out in 5 min.

I have been neglecting mine for a while. Might shoot for may to do mine.
