Default Removing fuel injectors

Did my search of the forums which usually answers most of my questions. Just could not find a real detailed DIY.

I want to remove and clean the fuel injectors (stock 5.2L). Looking things over I can see where the fuel rail is bolted down. Once the bolts are removedif I gently lift up will all 4 injectors come out with it? Or do I need to disconnect each injector from the rail working my way from one end to the other?

Thanks!

you need a disconnect tool to remove the fuel line from the rails, from there, you should be able to remove injectors and rail together. be sure to get new orings and lightly lube them with oil before reinstall. the injectors just clip onto the rail

unless you leave the line attached. Make sure you depressurize the system first undo them bolts and pull up on the rail

yes, but the fuel line going to the rail is secured down, when u lift, it will "kink" the injector near the fire wall

take out fuel pump fuse, and crank it fo 10 seconds, it will drain out the gass mostly

you do need a fuel line disconnect...(6 bucks) take out the top bolts on manifold, and wiggle and pull....they will come out....DONT FORGET TO REPLACE O-RINGS

So remove the rail from the injectors then pull the injectors out?
