Get a Denso oxygen sensor. Its what was used from the factory, and mine was only $33. Plus they are made here in the U.S.A. while NTK sensors are made in Japan.

What would you guys recommend for the cap and rotor? OEM or a certain brand from a parts store?

Whatever one you get, get one with brass terminals. I have a NAPA Echlin cap and rotor. About to go and get another one!

Brass as opposed to what? I saw one that said something about premium gold. My local farm store carries it for 15 bones for the cap and rotor. Made by Wells Mfg

Aluminum. Premium gold probably means the "special" line of parts that that mfg. makes, like NAPA Gold filters.

I am working on getting my last few things rounded up for my plenum, water pump, timing chain, tune-up procedure.

I just want to be as prepared as possible when I do it, hopefully not having to make a hundred trips to the parts store looking for missing parts and tools.

I just read the hughes instructions, they say not to use gasket tack when installing the gaskets. I have always applied a thin layer of blue or black rtv on my gaskets before installing them. Should I not apply a thin layer of rtv?

I am going to not use the hughes gasket and buy a felpro gasket set if that makes any difference.
