Default Ordering parts to fix plenum?

It sounds like it is recommended that I replace the O2 sensor when I do the repair. Hughes has them for $50, is that what these usually cost?

I wouldn't replace the O2 unless the one currently in was defective ,,, Whats the rationale behind the swap ?

The burned oil gunks up the sensor(s). A pre-cat sensor thats not at peak capacity could contribute or lead to future issues.

The post-cat sensor I wouldn't touch unless it generates a CEL.

Makes sense, I'll keep that in mind if I ever go down Plenum Blvd.

I did some price checking and hughes price is pretty close to what I would pay locally. Thanks for answering my question and then some of the questions I was thinking but didn't ask. Hoping to get everything I need ordered or bought so I can do the overhaul first of April.

I did a tune up (plugs, cap, rotor, wires) about 30K-40k ago, is this something that I really should do again this soon. I figured I would do the plugs cause they are coated with oil pretty good but am unsure how often it all should be done.

Am I biting off too much thinking I can do the intake, timing chain, water pump in three days?

you might want to check advance auto parts they have ntk universal for $25 all you have to do is splice it into the wiring of your old o2 sensor thats what i did for my truck and it work fine and it comes with a life time warranty

yea do the cap/rotor again, it will be so easy with the manifold out, and for 25 bucks why not....Plenum is a pretty easy job BTW, dont get overwhelmed by it.

I am actually more worried about the timing chain than the plenum. Just don't want to run out of time and be stuck without the truck.
