your computer would not like it and you would have to get a custom tune and a stand alone fuel management system that would cost more than you would like.

Here is what you would need off the top of my head:
1. New fuel pump that only pumps about 8-9PSI. Your truck currently runs at 43-59 PSI. Plus disconnecting the current pfuel pump that is in your tank.
2. Carb and intake..I have no idea on what CFM carb to use
3. New computer (PCM) so you do not get CEL codes for the fuel pressure, and o2 sensor reading.

That is why you never see anyone here on the forum with an EFI to carb swap. It is actually easier to do mods with the EFI setup.

Thanks for the info . The reason i was thinking about doing it was becaus in having some fuel/cylinder 8 misfire issues with my truck and i cant figure it out i just thought a carb swap would eliminate all of the problem areas with the fuel system and the mpfi system

Well, i just got done putting 1500 in it at the mechanic I had ball joints done l/r side universals done in the front both sides plugs, wires dist cap and rotor header gaskets cat back exhaust and wheels bearings in the front both sides and a new thermostat and brakes all around and both 02 sensors. thought the tune up would help but it didnt and i also replaced the number eight cylinder injector and that didnt help either, its really starting to get annoying it doesnt run too bad when you keep the rpms up when driving it so i drive it in 1st and 2nd gear around town and i get better gas milage than when i drive it on the high way in drive. the higher the rpms the better it runs it seems almost like you gotta keep it in the power band for it to run rite. i didnt do a comp test yet. but the truck has 226,000 miles on it .And i didnt pay anything for it it was given to me.

Whats all involved in the plenum fix ?? And how would that cause a misfire? in just one cylinder? im not really what you would consider a mechanic i know enough to do somethings but thats it nothing more involved than that like basic tune up brakes and stuff. Ive done nothing but weld since 95 so thats all i know anything about
