So Cartman, will that run an impact gun? long enough to zip off a wheel for example?

 

According to what I have read, yes, it will. Should be golden for one tire, wait a bit, and move on to the next, even with the truck idling.

Yeah, it will run an impact gun no problem. You are supposed to be able to do that without a storage tank,. I have a 3 gallon tank... so there really aren't any problems (even at idle).

I've used it to air up tires, cut rusted hinges off farm gates with what is basically a die grinder with a cutoff wheel, charge spud guns, honk train horns (one of the funner uses), fill up inflatable tow toys for boating... just about anywhere compressed air would be useful. I'll even hook up a hose with a blow gun attachment to clean off my dash when I wash the truck.

My next OBA toy/use will be for load helper springs in the back to help with towing.

Would you consider doing some more of the brackets, and selling them? If so, how much would you like to get for them? (plus shipping, of course.)

 

id be down for a set, people at the job site wouldnt know what to think. could you use a bigger tank maybe 10-20 gallon or would that kill the pump?

 

Larger tank would take longer to fill... but, would allow for continuous operation of more demanding air tools. I would be more concerned with where you would mount a tank that large.... Doesn't really need anything bigger.... unless you are doing rebuilds on the side of the road.
