Default steering issue/ catching

so I have a question about steering or possibly what I'm expierencing.

when going straight there is no problem. my problem is when traveling slow when turning I thinking I'm feeling like a catching feeling. no really a clunk just some resistance.

my first thought is to get a grease gun and go to town. if that doesn't work. make get some new joints.

not very mechanically sound. so looking for your thoughts. thanks

I'm interested in the reply's as well being that I too have started to notice the same problem. One shop said " All dodges do that " problem is, I have 3 dodges and NONE of them do it except my 95 Ram pickup and it just started doing it in the last few months. I'm thinking power steering pump but will wait on replacing it until I see some of the reply's.

Is it doing this in 4x4 or 2? It sounds like bad ujoints to me.... check them out for looseness and/or binding. If they haven't been greased in a long time, they're probably shot.

check to make sure your intermediate shaft (fron steering box, up to firewall) is in good condition, mine binds every so ofter bc its getting worn in the "u" joint section of the shaft

thanks for the info. the truck does it when moving straight forward and back work slowly. so I don't think it is the steering but I will check it.

what is the anti slip additive diff fluids.

I'm having my father in law. 30yr mechanic get me a list of what I need then I'm going to tackle it right away. anything else I should look at or replace while I'm the inthe area

Is your power steering fluid full?
