All second gen dodges use a Dana front axle. Thats why they are referred to as the Dana 44 and Dana 60 on the site all the time. I don't even think Chrysler has a corporate front axle at all.

Does that 05 03 94 mean it was manufactured or assembled in on May 3rd 1994? Seems kinda old to be on a 2001.

I wonder what the date on mine is considering the truck was built in April 1994.

Yup, all Dodge Ram 1500s have Dana 44s up front and Chrysler Corporate 9.25s in the rear.

2500s are Dana 60s always in front (unless you have a "Light Duty" version from the 1994 or 1995 model years), Dana 60 in the rear if you have the V8, Dana 70 in the rear if you have the diesel and auto tranny, and Dana 80 if you have the diesel with a manual tranny.
