rough idle

rough idle
I bought an 01 ram 1500 with a 5.9 about a month ago. It had a bad transmission but the engine started and ran excellent.(only 90,000 miles)
After I replaced the trans, it started running rough; I checked the codes and got P0340-no cam signal to PCM
I replaced the pickup coil (twice) but its still doing it, i was thinking it would be the IAC or TPS but the damn thing was running great before i replaced the trans. Do these sensors go bad just like that?
I still get code P0340
Any thoughts on WTF is going on?
thanks

Well i think i found the problem, when i replaced the trans i kinda bent that plate that bolts to the converter/flywheel, it has a couple of flat spots. I dont know what its called, a little help?
Maybe the crank position sensor is not getting a steady signal and that causes the bad idle.
I have replaced the crank and pick up coil, IAC,TPS, done a complete tune-up, and nothing so it has to be that.
Does anyone know what the plate is called?
