Replaced the MAP Sensor
So I replaced the MAP sensor on the 2001, 1500 Ram 4x4 "Off Road" edition, 5.9L engine. I've been replacing things and I fifured since the Throttle Body looked like it fell in an asphalt pit, it couldn't hurt. As it turns out, it probablly didn't need replacing. Even ten years old and after 174K miles and the gunked up TB, the membrane was in good shape and the inlet port and hose were clean.
The new part was $62 ordered through AutohauseAZ (I order a lot of parts for my Mercedes through them). It was easy to install. There are two Torex head screws holding it on and a tiny hose. Even if you aren't planning to replace it, it's worth it to pull the unit to check to be sure the hose is in good shape and not leaking.
I have pictures, but they are crappy cell phone pictures.
The nipple that connects to the manifold:

MAP cut open, showing the curcuit board:

Curuit board lifted to show the pressure sensor on the back of the board. Still soft and pliable:

Hole in the housing that the pressure senor sits on. The other side has the nipple that connects to the manifold:
