Lugs are .80 each, would take about an hour or less to jack it up, take the tire off, remove the brake assembly, spin off the bearing, pound out all the old lugs and replace with new.

I had a tire come flying towards me a few years ago, was sitting at a red light in my sweet 68 Firebird with 2 of my girls in the back seat.
About half a block ahead the tire separated from a vehicle heading in the opposite direction and was coming my way - I said "holy ****" and my girls were disturbed, cause I rarely ever swear around them, they said whats wrong and I told them to duck down, and was considering doing the same myself.
They didn't ask questions, they laid right down on the seat.
This thing was coming at me at about 40 mph and it was really hard to tell if I should punch it ahead, reverse or just stay where I was, there were no other cars around me so all options were open, but the tire at any time could take a jog right at me, or away from me, and I didn't want to commit myself to any course of action until it got a bit closer.
As it got closer and remained on its path, which I calculated would pass slightly in front of me if I stayed put and its heading didn't change, I decided that punching it forward would not be a good idea, so that reduced it to staying there or reverse - I have a ratchet shifter in that car that is harder to switch gears than an ordinary shifter, so I put it in reverse to get ready in case I had to punch it in reverse.
It passed about 2 car lengths in front of me as I was slowly creeping in reverse to put more distance between my car and the rouge tire, hopped a curve, climbed up someones front porch, smashed into a house between the front door and window, bounced off and took out the porch rail, and that stopped its momentum, it just flopped into the front yard.

Very dangerous, as I was explaining to my girls what just happened I passed the vehicle that had lost it, it was an SS Monte Carlo.
At the time I took it personally, almost like he just tried to kill me, I resisted the impulse to scream "you F'in A$$hole" mainly because of my girls, but I figured it was due to his negligence that the tire had come off, and it most likely was.

I lost a spare last summer, but thats more of a mechanical failure than negligence

Jesus lol i havent been on all day and the thread blew up, as to your offer on the free hub assembly i would gladly take it off your hands and send you the cash for shipping if it's a serious offer, i will send you a PM about it also.

The truck is driveable and so far the lugs havent come loose again since then, but i do need to replace the hub/wheelbearing anyways because the bearing is almost gone, has a hair of play in it and the lugs are tore to ****.

Im really greatful to all the guys on here i wasnt expecting to get such a response and it just makes me even more aware of the fact that you guys are damn near like family.

Band of brothers! lol kinda corny but hey what the hell.
