help me again!!!
first off i want to thank you all so much for your help with my last question you guys have been an amazing help, now i have another question.
i have no clue how to solve this problem, the problem is my ignition switch (the part where you put the key in not the eclectrical part, i guess you would call it the tumbler) anyways mine is stuck in the lock position i cant turn my truck on no matter how hard i try or anything it just will not come out of the locked position (the postion it goes to to take the key out and put it in etc) i cant get it to free up so i can turn my key (and turn my truck on) what causes this and what are my options to fix this? thanks again in advance for all ur answers

^ what hes getting at is sometimes if your steering is locked in place you have to kinda turn the wheel to take pressure off of the switch, then turn the key on to crank the truck.
i hope that you're lucky enough thats your problem.

One trick to try is spray some lock lube into the key cylinder. A lot of times they will dry up and when you insert the key, not all the pins will drop back down, so the lock thinks it's not the right key. Something to try before you spend money on a new ignition switch.
well ive figured out my problem my lock selinoid <(sp?) is seized up i took my ignition switch apart and found that when i put my key in the selinoid it doesnt activate the thing that pushes the spring down and activates my switch so i need a new selinoid again i want to thank everyone that helped me out with this question and my last question I LOVE THIS SITE!!
