Theres really only 1 way they can go on right, when the cap is pounded in enough to get the snap ring on, thats where they should be. At that point, the top of the cap is flush with the body of the ujoint.

Yes, the internet is very wonderful, all right.
Didn't have the luxury of waiting a week for ujoint delivery for a sudden malfunction that happened the day before Easter, didn't even consider going that way for such a common part.
I was at the parts store within an hour after it happened, and was driving my truck within 3 hours with 3 new ujoints.
If my drivetrain spins apart in the next couple years, assuming that the truck itself lasts that long, I guess you 2 can say you told me so - Odds are, thats not going to happen, and these will be perfectly fine.

Far as the zerks, you don't often see them without them.
I'm doubting your theory, any data to back it up, does that apply to ball joints too ?
I've known guys who go as far as to drill their own hole to install fittings, lube is a wonderful thing !

just curious if you're sure your ujoints are made in the US; aren't most parts made in mexico just south of the border?

Maybe the "Made in USA" printed on the box was actually referring to the box itself

Sorry snookums, no longer inclined to feed your appetite for petty bickering.
Go play with your VW

Ok Eric, so a guy with a history of running his mouth can just call me stupid and I gotta just smile and take it ?

No thanks, if thats the way its going to be I'll delete this site from my bookmarks, pull all the pics from my threads and never come back, and you can keep right on catering to newbies and chronic smart asses.
Clarify please - Why am I the one being called out when I had a very mild reaction to being called stupid ?

xray, your overreaction to his comment is what has caused this whole thing. Now just calm down man, you're getting more and more out of line. Check your PMs, I replied to the last one you sent me.
