Default rhino lining?

My paint is all scratched and fading. I'm thinking of painting the whole truck with duplicolor truck bed lining. Anyone done this and/or have any pics? Maybe I'm just crazy for even asking....lol.

Yep, its been done, albeit with Herculiner. This member is no longer active here, but his pictures are still here...

If you use Herculiner, use the UV protectant or paint over it. The sun will destroy the stuff. If you do Duplicolor, use the roll on. The can sprays too thin. It took an entire can to do my tailgate.

also, i think you might want to consider the decreased gas mileage with the new wind resistance added to the body.

Does anyone want to estimate how much herculiner would be required, and UV protectant to do the entire truck as pictured?

The only loss in fuel economy would be because of weight, which would be no more than a few pounds. As far as aerodynamics, they may actually improve. It's sort of like the golf ball theory. Besides, it's not like these trucks are streamline to begin with.

there would certainly be no improvement from aerodynamics lol. The golfball effect only works when there are smooth divots. Now there is a roughness to the texture. The higher the resistance there is to wind, the more power is required to move the vehicle.
