check the wire that comes out of the distributer. I smashed mine and found it the other night. same issues that you had. its the small wire that goes top the pickup coil under the dist cap. i bet it got pinched when they put the tranny in. it hangs really close to the bell housing

Ill go ahead and fess up to this one. My R&R guy pinched a CPS wire between the trans and the engine. Makes me angry because i pay these guys well to do a top notch job and then stuff like this happens. Ben and I have already talked over the phone about the problem.

which sensor.. cam or crank ?

Its all better now, ben rewired it. It was the crank position sensor.
