You can get the ducts down to the bumper regardless of stock fan. Needed to compress them slightly to get them between the vertical frame rails & the rad. I also cut off a flange on the plastic side tank at the bottom of the rad on passenger side though looking at my install page I never mentioned that. Detailed install with pics in the link below.
