I hope you didnt have those dealers build the transmission. They sound like a bunch of crack pots.

Thanks for the info. i got a manual and ill look into it. i never even heard about adjusting bands before this.

Not a chance. They charged me a couple of hundred dollars for a brake issue prior to the tranny going out. Whatever they did, it didn't work. I changed the master cylinder and fixed the problem myself. They refused to give me my money back, I got mad, they threatened to call the cops...anyway, I don't let dealers do maintenance on my vehicles anymore. They charge more than the regular shops, but the quality of work is no better, if its as good, in my opinion. Local shop did trans. Guy is supposed to be pretty good. Me and my truck are hoping he is..
