My fiance is from northern Manitoba originally, an due to Canada's dumb policy I can't go up north because I got a DUI over 6 years ago when I was young and dumb. Oh well, excuse to celebrate holidays at home!

You will notice a little lowend power loss from the 285's. If you ever plan on putting in a locker, save the extra money and do 4.10 gears while you're at it.

dont go to 4.56 unless your goin up to like A 37 or 38. you will run rpm's in the 3000 range at speeds over 55 ish

when you go through with the lift, get 4.10's and 315/75/16

I have 4.56 gears with 285/75/16 tires, and I run 2200 rpm at 65 mph.

I run 285/75/16's on 3.55 gears with no lift on a 1500 4x4 w/318. There is a slight loss of low end power, but unless you're towing something, it isn't really noticeable. For those who are thinking about 285/75/16's on stock ride height, the tires will rub at full turn.
