After plowing for the township this winter, we only have boss plows and the truck i usally drove have a boss v plow. I know it puts a hurting on our F350's and F550's. But w/e your truck plus i be making more money when your truck down

I want a boss plow but I think the steel blades would be to taxing on the truck.

I have 3" lift coils under the front of mine (coils are twice as thick and 3" taller than stock) and a 2" block and an add a leaf in the rear.

I mean if you go on bosses site the only thing they list for the 5.9 is the poly plow. But if you use the 5.2 you get a bunch more opitions.

Yep. And I lied,.. I DID have to replace one thing on the
Plow set/up since I've owned it. I slipped & fell walking around
the front of the truck last winter. I reached out and grabbed
the turn signal on the end of the light/bar and snapped it right off.
(Don't do that),.. It doesn't help you from going down. And, a new
one costs 47 bucks!! Lol. The blade has a super-duty sticker on it
but, it's standard duty. Why? I don't know but I checked it out at the
dealer when I bought it thinking that's strange. The salesman thought
it was a glitch at the factory because it's a standard duty plow.

You quickly wish you had a larger truck... I'm working for a land management firm now in the snow belt of ohio and they get around 144-172" a year... they use only 1 ton trucks and blizzard 8-10' power wing plows... you truck will take a beating and I hope you don't plan you using it as your daily driver after the plow season... your tranny will need to be beefed up along with your brakes and suspenion... be prepared to rebuild the front end every year.. ball joins.. u-joints.. and steering components... you'll want to add some aux. back-up lights in the rear and some type of bright warning beacon on top as well... if you plan on just doing your drive... you'll be good.. but anything more than that will cause major major wear on your rig...

ALSO... be prepared to have a back-up method of fulfilling your plow contracts should your truck break down... this could be either paying someone else to plow you accounts.. or renting a loader/skider... or having a back-up plow truck... markers and "taking it easy" is NOT going to prevent any damage... plow markers will help.. but you will still hit ****... and what happens when you get some much snow that you can't see the markers? where will you put snow if you run out of room? and if you take it slow and easy.. you will be plowing for a very long time and this will eat into your profit levels... now that doesn't mean you can go ***** to the wall and beat the hell out of everything.. but you can't plow snow at a snails pace

word of advice... go watch a local plow company plow sometime.. they will not be plowing slowly...

btw... ploy plows are NOT lighter than steel plows!

look it up on the websites.. they are typically 50-60lbs heavier than steel plows

the reason is because the poly plows need more support bars on the back of the plow to prevent the poly from cracking... call your local plow supplier and they will tell you the same thing

I'm looking at the top plow. In a 7'6 blade.

My suspension can handle the plow. I have the bigger lift coils and a rear add a leaf and I need to pick up another one.

Back up plans are get grand father to plow me out if need be or call one of my other friends to help me out.

I'm working on amber lights right now. I have placed some amber leds on my back rack and need to put some under the grill.

I have watched the guys at work plow the parking lot I would say there going about 10-30mph.

man, all i gotta say is, it's gonna put a beating on your pickup....and that's coming from me....

yes, i've plowed, no, i'll never put a plow on one of my trucks....i don't like the being up all night, and the wear and tear on both the rig and myself....

....oh and do you know how hard the truck stops when you hit the pile in warm, wet snow....it's enough to about put your head into the dashboard
