Racing is for the track, if you disagree, that's your choice. My 2cents have been spent. Just please think about who you are sharing the public roadways with. Being a career driver, I've seen too many people that I'm sure "thought" they had control. Turns out, it just gives the local hospitals something to do. Think About It...

[Quote]and some of you guys make a good point that its a truck, i shouldnt race it or things like that. i wanted a fast older car that i could street race and legally race in, but when i saw my truck, i knew i had to buy it, and i still want to go fast, its not a truck thing, i know. i have headers on it, no clue what kind, or what kind of exhaust or tranny. i know i have a chip in it, a k&n air filter, and thats about all i know, i will be adding pictures, most likely tomorrow, i'll take some shots of the engine, maybe you guys will know what i got under there? maybe throw out some advice on how to add a bit of speed? thanks guys, being one of three guys at my school with a dodge sucks, especially since one has an older model and its lifted, and the other has a stock newer model, i have literally nobody to talk to about this[Quote/]

It's an SS/T, it has a 5.9L 360CI. Make sure you read up on this forum and gain knowledge about your truck. You are a guy, you need to know your girl inside and out.

I have no qualms with running old people off of the road at breakneck speeds while trying to prove my manliness.

And, like a woman, you'll never know everything about her, or ever know her well enough to see what she needs all the time. Sometimes the only thing you can do is learn about the fixes as the situations come at you.

Sounds like you need to spend some time reading and maybe do some things under your own hood, I bet you anything that there is quite a few cars at your school that will make you look like your standing still in a race. Were I went to HS you would need a drag car to be the fastest car in the parking lot no truck would have been able to hold off some of the cars, unless it had major work making it useless as a truck.

And learn about what your racing, good all around knowledge will let you know whats a race before you step foot on the throttle, if your looking to impress chose wisely and sometimes even though you lose you can still prove your truck has *****

+1 to redheahunter21 How can you expect to build a racing truck if you dont even know what you have? Everything that you need to know is on the web take some time and figure out how everything in your truck works. Then do some research into some easy upgrades. Your truck is only as fast as its weakest link. Figure out what that is and your problem is solved.

As for the racing side, anyone can put some giant @$$ gears in a truck a top out at a ridiculous speed, but the cool guys top out the fastest. I would rematch him to a 1/4 mile. Just because he has a better maximum speed doesn't mean that he has more power.

And I am sorry to break it to you, but at least at my school. The popular kids are the ones who have the richest parents.

Hope that helps.

BTW post up your specs so people can see what you have.

Take a cue from the Ricer crowd when it comes to your truck: fart can, slammed suspension, neon paint and lights, and a rear wing. Then, you'll be driving Fast and Furious
