Default Some Random Suspension Questions.

just wondering a few things. sorry if theyre obvious.

1. So i have 2 inch blocks in the back. If i wanted to have a 5 inch lift, would i stack a 2 and a 3 inch, or just one 5 inch. Obviously one 5 would be better, but can you stack blocks?

2. Can you use a zero-rate block and shims? Would you just have to drill new holes the shim for the holes to line up?

3.What is the maximum amount of lift you can go with before drive shaft length or u-joints become an issue?

4. Can you flip a leaf spring over to gain/loose lift? I've heard you can.

Some people stack blocks, but i wouldnt , it's kinda shady and dangerous some people havent had any probs some have.. and i thought i read the 3/4 or 1 tons had a 5 inch block to begin with from the factory so why not, most people will say get springs and ditch the blocks,

my 99 ram had 3" blocks satcked on 3" blocks for 2 years an never a problem. i have a 9" lift on my 96 and no driveshaft or u joins bind anywhere. dont flip your leaf springs over, that just sounds redic, think about it.

AS far as a leaf flip , mostly its for leaf springs mounted on the bottom of the axle and removing them and putting them on the top of the axle is that what you were thinking of ?

i hope so bc i cant think of a single reason to literally flip over a leaf pack. it wouldnt even work at a shock absorber anymore

ok well lets say that you had a leaf spring that was pretty straight, not lifted or anything. wouldnt it do the same thing upside down?
