well look at the truck, the one in the back is your rear axle....

but no sorry, haha you have the Chrysler 9.25 rear end, geared at 3.55. really if you could find a dana 60 off a 2500 then that would work too, just make sure that its geared the same as your front axle. or upgrade the gearing too.

what rear did you blow. the front one or the rear one......ok pay attention here ill try to break this down

1500 models------- front = dana 44
rear = corporate 9.25
2500 models------- front = dana 60
rear = dana 70 with auto trans dana 80 with standard trans
3500 models------- are all dually's in the 2nd gen with a dana 60 front

anybody correct me if im wrong on that info

used 9.25's are a dime a dozen in junk yards. most, probably all, will have 3.55 gears.

check and double check but its very likely that the 9.25 from ram, ram van, dakota, durango are all the same. watch the year as the later models have the bolt up yoke on the drive shaft.

i'm not positive, but i think a 2500 with 5.9 engine had dana 60 in the rear. V10 and Diesel had D70 and/or 80

I'm pretty sure my 1500 came with a different rear axle than the 9.25. I'm not sure if it's because it's the "Off Road" edition or because it has the towing package

If it's the corporate 9.25 then the diff cover is octagonal, (looks like a stop sign)

Be Right Back

EDIT

Ok here is the DANA axle, What does your's look like?
