I have had some stone work done recently and that is easily 1-1.5 ton of stone. I couldn't imagine riding 30 miles on bump stops. I bet you were riding on your sidewalls. How fast did you go?
We lined the bed of my old mans dodge with plastic and filled the bed with water, worked great. But that 6 foot box was definitly sitting on the bumpstops.
I think im gonna try it in my ford.
