Default The never ending project

So when i first put my lift on my truck people asked if i was done with it. I jokingly said its a never ending project. Well little did i know that is was the truth. It started with one ver rough night of mudding the night after thanks giving. I destroyed my front carrier and had my half ton axles regeared but the truck never rode or drove the same. So i bought some dana 60's and put them under the truck (see DIY section.) After i completed that my friend traded me his 37's for my 35's. so i drove with them on for about 2 weeks and they were rubbing when my suspention would flex. So that brought on a need for me to install a 3" body lift i had laying around. when i decided to do that i figured i would order some replacement leaf springs for the rear. I ordered some Fabtech 5.5" lift springs to match the front and when i started looking under my truck at how had the install would be i deicded it would be easiest to just remove my bed, sence i had to take the bolts out for the body lift anyway. Any way i figured i would let you guys see what i have been up to. So here are some pics, hope you enjoy.

the truck rite after i did the Dana 60 swap.

The truck how it sits as of tonight

needs good washing before the bed and leafsprings go on.

The 3 inch body lift

The Dana 60's

the oil is from the old gasket that i replaced. tried cleaning it and this is what i ended up with.

the reason i put the body lift on

the reason i ordered the rear springs (stacked blocks)

The reason i removed the bed

Can anyone say snowball effect????? But i think it will be worth it.

I got camera happy and snapped some pics of my bike to show all of you.

What do you guys think of my undertaking???

nice shop.

+1 on bed removal. too bad the front fenders and hood won't come off easy. imagine how easy it would be to work on.

I just wish my garage was 1/2 that size. Would of made doing some of the things Ive done over the years so much easier.

the shop does come in handy. 40x60 with a concrete floor makes things go smooth. the only thing that sucks about it is there is no insulation for the winter time so it getts pretty could during those months

same here I have a lot of plans for my ram as well! I was actually planning on pullin the 3" body lift out and putting 38's on I already have a fabtech 5.5" long arm suspension lift so looks like I'll be keepin the body lift for a while!

Nice truck!!

Shawn.
