no bus ?????????
Any sensor not right or disconnected or wire broken or pinched on a sensor will not have anything to do with it not cranking over when key is turned. You should have a ground wire going to a valve cover bolt, 1 to the back of a head, and two that are mounted on one of the power steering pump bolts/stud. If those are in place, make sure starter is connected properly and check the large fuses in the PDC.
ok yall keep saying the crank sensor could be pinched, well this motor came out of a 96 and im putting in an 01 every thing bolted up and all but the distributor plug, the temp gauge plug, and the crank sensor had diff plugs, but i got the wire harness with the motor. so what i did was cut the plug of the 96 harness, and cut the plugs off of the 2001 bad motor and spliced thos together so i wouldn't have to cut the harness on my truck do u think splicing this stuff together might have something to do with it not cranking
if your truck is an 01, and the sensors from the 96 do not fit, then you'll be better off putting the 01 sensors into the 96 motor, and leaving the wiring as it was. additionally, the 96 intake likely has 2 temp sensor ports instead of the 1 on the 2001. you'll need to plug the extra port

+1, but that has nothing to do with whether or not the motor cranks. Forget the sensors for now, until you get the motor to turn over with the key. You can remove or disconnect ALL the sensors and it should still crank when using the key, it just obviously will not start.
