Default no bus ?????????

im in the middle of a motor swap, and i need to turn the motor over to put the last few bolts in the flex plate. but when i turn the key nothin happens, and no bus comes up on the gauge cluster. i no the batt is good and i believe i have all the wires hooked up. any help?

you have the pcm plugged back in? I think the no bus msg means somethings up between the pcm and the gauge cluster....

and I wouldn't use the starter to turn it over, just put a socket on the crank bolt and turn it by hand...

the pcm is plugged in, but i have my temp gauge censer un plugged because i broke it ima get one next week un less this is my problem?

Check ALL of your grounds they have been known to be a problem as well as the crank position sensor make sure that it isn't pinched.

all the grounds r good i got it to stop saying no but no if i could get it to acutely do something when i turn the key

no bus is either a missing ground or a shorted sensor. if you've had the motor and transmission apart the crank position sensor wire is the most likely candidate.

yeah, exactly what i was thinking, pinched sensor wire. Or bad ground somewhere

climb under the truck on the side opposite to the starter reach your hand around the transmission where the bell housing meets the engine.. and close to the top of the transmission youll feel a wire meeting a sensor..check that this is plugged in..and if it is id recommend pulling the sensor and checking it..i believe its either a allen or 10mm?correct me if im wrong...
