how 2 get cel code?

Exclamation how 2 get cel code?

My CEL light is on again it cost me 25 bucks to have it read i have heard there is a way to check your self from what i have seen on here but noone says how i turning the key on off three times but it dont flash on the 4th time. i moved my plug wires now its running better but the light came back. my cat is hollow so its not plugged. i just want to get a code from it and run it by u guys. any help?

Go to Advance Auto Parts or AutoZone. They check it for free.

we dont have an auto zone only small hole in the wall places that charge to scan

mine is ob 2 tried it 3 times like in the vid but nothing came up thanx for the vid tho

yea it only works for obdI systems. sorry bud, either get a scanner or find someplace that will do it for free.

Are you turning the key all the way back to the removal (lock) position?

If your cat is hollow, thats what your code is. Mine's the same way and I get code P0420 (Low Catalyst Efficiency) every once in a while. If I don't clear it with my scanner it will go away after a week or 2. Do you remember what code you had last time you checked it?

And the key trick should work for you. I have a buddy with an 01 2500 and he's the one who showed me the trick in the first place. And most people here can do it I think, except for me it seems ....
