Default airgapp or sct

im trying to get money to either to buy the airgap or sct ! question is i want to sell the K&N CAI thats 300 brand new that came on the truck and buy a 14x3 round intake and sell the CAI for more so i make profit, Good idea or not ??

also im selling my mopar side step/body kit on craigslist , along with stock rims. and maybe get something for the cutout

if thats isnt going to be enough prob will sell the superchips and get the SCT. i dunno what to do yet.

why would you sell a used CAI for more than its worth brand new?

I wouldnt give you $100 for a FIPK, I dont care if it is new or used. Mine has secretly been for sale for the last 2 years. $50. Its orange!

just because i didnt buy it , it was on the truck when i bought it, and if i buy a round one and sell the CAI that like 100 bucks in the pocket towerd the sct or airgap

im sure if you sold youre CAI kit and the superchips together to a young truck owner a little less knowledgable about power gains. sell them as a power package thing, you could probably make an alright amount of money, i mean think about it, almost every person who comes on this site, who are just getting into performance are looking for those 2 items, and think a CAI and programmer will add 100 horses, so sell em together if you can, to someone just getting into performance and id say you would be close to having the money for at least one of the items

the CAI kit sold by itself most likely wont do much for you, ive been wanting to get rid of my AEM bruteforce kit but the little amount of money id make wouldnt even cover the 14X3 and filter i want and its not worth it for the little if any performace gain id get

Sell the K&N for around 50. Sell everything else as you see fit. But sell it if your not going to use it. Talk to hemi and see if he as any deals going on for the SCT, i know when i bought mine i got close to 60 off price due to some deal.

Id say get the SCT over the air gap for now. You already have enough on the truck to notice the SCT.

i was thinking 100-150 for the CAI , round intake like 40 buck so i will make good profit off the intake, plus there louder and would free up room in the engine bay . good point acsamples79!

+1 for what mohawk said, id go for the SCT first, with all the stuff youve already got, you would feel it more with the SCT.... if you went with the air gap first, after the pcm relearns for the new intake, youll be happy but then you will be tunerless and you wont have the full gain effect for the airgap (and other mods) til you can save up all that money again
