Angry Shocks Shot.

Well, I went To replace my shock bushings yesterday, the are cluncking and the upper bushing is dry rotted and mostly missing.

When I pulled the bolt out of the top, the shock did not extend at all. I could push it down and it will not come back up. I have Rancho 9000's and was wondering if they were rechargeable as I have access to Dry Nitrogen at work.

The problem I have now is that I think my shocks in the front, and maybe the back are to short. The front will not extend past the bolt hole on the shock tower. I have no Idea how much lift I have the truck, my front shock towers are different, they are longer to the point that the wheel wells were cut ut to make room for them.

Looking at the shock I fount this number on the rear Rancho RS 9000 c256u2r and this is the only thing I could see on the front C014. Any help would be awesome.

I am sure they are not rechargeable. The inner seals on them are probably shot. Time for some Bilsteins!

Best I can tell you is I can run 35's and only rub at full lock. I am trying to up load pictures of my suspension.

Another question, how big are the stock body pucks, and normal colour.

Wow I have never seen a shock tower like that on a 4x4. Must be part of the Dick Cepek lift. Hopefully someone will chime in the with correct answer.

Looks like Extreme Suspensions bought out Dick Cepek close to 10 years ago...... at least, the suspension end of it... You might be able to call them for some "real" information..... Best I can figger out though, is if you do NOT have the stock control arms on your front suspension (or, they may be just boxed.....) you prolly have a 5.5 to 6 inch lift there.

Measure from top mount to bottom mount and that should get you an idea where to start.
