I twisted the wires together. did a little solder job. covered in heat shirnk tube. Covered with small flex tubing, covered that with larger flex tubing and electrical taped that shut! Looks like there was a similar break that was repaired near by. I picked this truck up used so I dont have full history.

it gets better. So tonight my instrument cluster lights would't come on. Fun driving home at night not knowing how fast you're really driving. They worked yesterday.

Swapped out the new switch with the old one, they work again. Man I love buying new parts that fail within a few days.

Try doing it with distributor caps.

At least the old switch is still good. You can take the new one back, and put some money back in your pocket.

Are we having fun yet?

That's exactly what I'll be doing.

Odd stuff like this always seem to happen to me.

I need to learn more about electrical systems! That is definately a weak point for me. It's hard because about everything is electrical these days.

Default Fog lights

I am kinda having the same issue. I can hit my switch for the fog lights and they will come on. Once I let go of the switch, it will disengage. Should I just replace the switch or what else could be the problem?

That post was from 10 years ago. You would be better off starting your own thread instead of resurrecting decades old threads.
