Wiring a kill switch
what about one of those marine switches they put directly on the batteries of boats, you would just have to pop the hood when you park at night and turn the switch off at the battery and shut the hood again.
why not just buy an alarm? they're not that pricey, and anyone with any knowledge can hook it up themselves....
I love living in a small town in the country.... I can leave mine unlocked, with the keys hangin in the ignition....

Ok just to clairify... I'm looking for the wire that power or triggers the fuel pump relay. The reason I want this wire, is that if the engine is cranked for a prolonged period by someone who isn't aware that the fuel is off, the engine wont be flooded by fuel being pumped in.
Flooding is the reason why I would never install a kill switch that interrupted the ignition.
Also, I don't want to interrupt the starter motor because that's just too obvious, and would get someone looking under the dash.

Dont know why someone would want to steal a 9 yearold truck, guess thieves are not getting any smarter, and I would suggest getting an alarm too even if you get the kill switch most of the time they break into trucks around here they are only looking for stuff to sell quickly or cash

On the fuel pump relay, Pin 86 (lite green w/black stripe), and 85 (brown with white stripe), are power going in/out to activate the relay. Splicing a switch into the brown/white wire will interrupt the relay ground, thus, disabling the fuel pump. Not sure on dodge's, and can't really tell from the diagrams, but, on GM vehicles, they also had a 'back up' power supply off of the oil pressure switch, in case of relay failure. It would take a bit to get the engine to start (long crank time), but, it WOULD start.
Pin 30 Is fuel pump power coming in. (Red with white stripe) Pin 87 is power going out to the fuel pump (dark green with black stripe). It hits connector C129, Which appears to be by the cab mount, drivers side, basically under your feet.

If you pull and look at the fuel relay - you will see two larger male spades and three smaller ones.. the two smaller outer spades are activated by the larger spades
put a switch on any one of those spades and put a jumper on the other three...
Basically pull the relay - use a jumper wire (pigtails) with spade connectors - go from relay terminal to the Distribution Box terminal on three of them and run a switch lead on the 4th terminal.. Tuck the relay inside the Dis Box and install the cover...
You do not need to find, cut or trace out any wires or wiring harness or circuits - it's all right there... And it's easy to do and undo.. Just hide the switch in a not so obvious location..

I'm not certain if the Rams have this little item or if they do, what years have them. This is a jumper that is placed in and automatic where the netural safety switch should be in a manual truck. On my '01 RT is is beside the gas pedal and on my '00 Dakota Sport, it's in front the drivers side kick panel. I have absolutely no idea as to what years have this jumper deal and which ones don't so you'll just have to look to see if your truck has one.
Simply cut the yellow wire, splice in two wires and run them to a hidden simple on/off switch. Turn the switch off and the starter will not engage. Turn it on and it starts as normal. A thief may get inside your truck, but even if they do rip out the ignition or use a jiggle key, the engine will not start until the switch is turned on. This is a very simple mod to do and may save your truck from being stolen.

hmmmm, I'm gonna check that out on mine^^^.... so that yellow jumper is a factory deal?? seems pretty sloppy for the factory to do like that, but it's not the dumbest thing they've done I guess...
