Default EMERGENCY HELP NEEDED: ECU problem?

This is kinda long, but please read. I am in desperate need of help.

So I just put in the kill switch for my truck. I did what another member suggested and did it at the fuse box, that way I wouldn't have to cut any wires or anything.

Anyways, I tested my switch, it worked fine, and then I took the truck for a spin. Anyways, I just got back into my truck, disarmed the switch, and didn't hear the fuel pump prime. So I tried to start the truck, nothing. I went into the fuse box, took out everything I did, and put the relay back into its slot. The truck still will not start. The fuel pump won't prime.

Here's where it gets bad. I get in, turn the key to on. It sits for a second, the odometer flashes a few times, then I get "No bus".

How the hell could I have done this? I didn't touch or molest any other wiring anywhere, and didn't tool with any of the fuses. I'm even more baffled because I just took the truck for a drive!

I've got the battery cable off for now and am going to hope that the computer will fix itself, but does anyone have any insight for me?

So I assume you installed a switch inline of the fuel pump fuse, so that you could prevent the truck from starting by using the switch to open the circuit. Is that the case?

your install might have just been coincidence. Check fuse number 9, and see if it is blown.

Inline of "30" (the incoming power) on the fuel pump relay. I've since removed what I did and put the relay right back into its spot.

Fuse # 9 was fine by the way.

Check fuse 17. It is probably good as well, but, need to start there.

I doubt its a coincidence, I bet you blew a fuse somewhere. Hey you seems to know the fuse box well, I'd recomend paying attention to him.

Is thre another fuse box or fusible link somewhere?

P.S. My car was stolen, the thief hot wired the fuel pump. its one of the most common tricks and might not help much in real life.

if the fuses are fine, check for voltage at them.

Go to this thread, and download the shop manual. Its in PDF format, so you will need acrobat reader. (should already have it, if you done, just google it.) You want to look at section 8J, Instrument cluster, and go to the diagnostics section. Find your particular issue, and follow the procedure.

I bought that Manual years ago from Chrysler.

FIXED IT!

It was fuse #5 in the engine bad, engine control 2. Phew!

Anyone know how the hell I could have blown this?
