but in this case I'm gonna state the most common cause of high mpg on a dodge ram.... incorrect calculations
I get about 13mpg...on the highway
..If ur getting over 14mpg combined city/highway in a 5.9 360, yall need to tell us what u did to get that kind of mileage. My 97 ram has 5.9 360, auto w/ O/D, Heavy Duty pkg AND 4X4 -weighs 10000 lb-...the best mileage I get is 13.8 MPG

Only mods are dual flowmaster 44 exhaust, hypertech power programmer and K&N Air Intake System

He downgraded his gears that low? Holy crap, that must have killed his power.

I've pondered 4.56's but not 3.55's, lol think i need to do the plenum , when i first bought the truck i used to be able to get about 315-320 to a tank of gas now i only can get around 250-260 to a tank. also prob should do a compression check someday

yea i'm pondering 4.10's in my truck but for the next 2 years I'll be driving 60 miles a day for school so i'll stick with my 3.55's.

don't say stuff like that I bout fell off my chair laughing. that's one reason I bought my ram it's got better pulling power and fuel economy than my last truck. gotta put a thermostat in it though she's running at 150 after an hour of highway driving and going through coolant faster than it should be.
