Lift kit
A few months back i remember someone posting links to lift kits, I am going from stock tire to 35s, i finally got some guys to trade with on the gear swap and the tires, so now i need to find a good lift kit.
I think for the 35s to clear i need to do the 5inch lift ? Someone had found one for around $400 i think? But i cant find that old posting, anyone know where i could get one for around $500 or under ?
I have a 99 Ram 1500 5.9 auto
thanks!

If your not against a body lift, you can get a spacer either 2 or 2.5 for the front and then get a 3 inch body lift that will net you 5 inches and be under your 500 dollars
You can find body lifts for under 300 and Hell bent makes a 2.5 spacer for the front for under 100. Some say that it raises the front a little high and you can gain the factory rake with an add-a-leaf and still be under $500

I really dont do a whole lot of off roading, just some mud holes now and again, and up in the mountains in the snow.
Is most the rubbing going to be from the edges of the fenders? because of the squared edges? I am planning to paint my truck soon...Anyone successfully cut fenders on here?

i'm gonna be runnin 35s on that exact lift. the 2.5" spacer and the 2" addaleaf. i might add another overload leaf for that extra half inch.
stock i'm runnin 33s and they don't rub much. just the control arms. new rims solve that problem.
i'll be runnin 35s on stock gears tho, gonna suck. and as far as rubbing and stuff goes, i 'm guessing that offroad, yea they'd rub, but i don't wheel the truck; got a jeep for that

other option for the rear is the 2.5 " lift shackle lift for $50 shipped on ebay...I have a body lift now and 35" mudders and while they didnt rub at all when I had the larger backspacing I swapped rims and these stick out a bit more and rub on turns at the slightest bump.... I'm gonna get the 2 - 2 1/2 coil spacers up front ( $70 shipped) and the shackle lift for the rear so my ride isnt real stiff... I do have 4.56 gears

IMO... rubbing=failure!
