Grinding noise in front,NOT WHEEL BEARINGS
So after i spent all sunday mudding, on my way home i had a squeek in the front end. It progresivly got louder untill finally its now grinding. I just replaced the wheel bearings, but my axle joints wear clicking pretty loud. Also the front drive drive shaft will turn, in park like 1/4 turn. Could the axle joints be making grinding and squeeking. Also is that drive shft supposed to turn that much. It makes that noise as soon as i start rolling. Thanks guys
easy solution but it happened to me on my last truck, I had a stone stuck between my caliper and my rim and it was grinding into my rim it was a violent metal sounding squeel at the time I thought it was my wheel bearing which was on its way out but later found the scoring on the inside of the rim (3 week old rims!!)

I had almost the same thing happen too after mudding, actually the same time I bent my steering damper and couldn't turn to the right.... I thought I had a bearing going bad, but I found a rock wedged between the rotor and backing plate. It had stayed in there for a week almost too by the time I found it...
ok, well there is now oil dripping from the steering dampener, its pretty much jink, but would it cause a grinding noise?
