Looked at another truck to buy today, they said it has a fuel pump issue?

removing gas cap won't help.
if you have plenty of time and its not too dangerous - you could drive 1 mile, wait 5 minutes, drive another mile, wait, etc. you'll eventually get there.

if you've got a buddy, a chain, and its not against your local laws, or you can avoid getting caught - you can tow it with a chain or tow strap. 10 miles is pretty far, but doable.

another shadetree rig would be to temporarily install an electric inline pump and hope it will pull gas up through the line. however, if your existing filter (in the tank) is stopped up, this won't help either. this is likely to waste more time than if you just drove it one mile at a time.

Probably not. If it isn't getting fuel, it isn't going to run.... aside from changing the pump on the side of the road...... A tow truck is about the only option. (or pull it with something else... not sure about the legality of that in your area.)

More than likely. I would verify that with a pressure gauge before throwing money at it though.

how would I go about testing it I cant seem to find any gauges at checker or anything like that, atleast not on their website.

I guess theres supposed to be a fuel pressure test port, where would I locate this on a v6?

According to my manual (for a 2001.....) there is no test port per se... you have to use adaptors and such. Someone else may have better information on this.
